More Questions...

I know I don't need to pack yet...but I was wondering what are things you want to take to the hospital in your overnight bag?
I know there are things I need as well as Josh and the baby. I would love any help you could give me.

Thanks!

If you are planning on breast feeding bring you own boppi to the hospital. It's easeir breast feed with that vs. pillows I think. Slippers and comfy clothes. They let you change into your stuff after delivery. And if you have to have a c-section (like I did) you don't want to be there for 3 days in hospital gowns. I went to the Motherhood Store and got some nursing cami's with built in bra. I didn't have to wear a bra but looked ok for visitors and had easy access for the baby. Josh is going to want pjs or comfy clothes and layers. The delivery room is cold for you but your room will be warm after birth to keep the baby warm. He is also going to want his own pillow if he plans on sleeping in with you. Also, bring your phone chargers. You make/recieve so many calls and your phones die quicker than you anticipate. Extra batteries for your camera. The baby's baby book. At our hospital they put the baby's footprint in the book for us when they printed the baby for their records. It is not too early to pack. I packed 2 days before I went to the hospital and I thought it was stupid...Eric made me. I mean I was only 36 weeks. I hope you don't go early but you never know. Better to be ready because when it happens you are not in the mood to pack. Well I've written you a novel and I may think of more later.

I brought all the stuff I would as if I were staying in a hotel - shampoo, hair stuff, blow dryer, straightener, make up. I know it sounds ambitious, but I felt good and wanted to get ready.
Bring some snacks for your husband because they say the kitchen is for patients only. Also bring your computer because it can be a little boring when there aren't any visitors, plus you can start looking at birth announcements.

Camera, and a laptop so you can email me pictures!!! haha!

Not that I have experience in this area, but...I have heard from my mommy friends that several changes of panties are good to have. (tmi! ha!) The hospital does give you some funky ones to wear right after (with a ginourmous maxi) but I know one of my friends hated them and said she put her own on when she could. Also, I have heard that putting your maxi's in the fridge/freezer helps with pain relief down there. Yikes! The knowledge I've gained from all my mommy friends! haha!
