Oh the wonder of home ownership!

If you don't already know, our basement flooded this past weekend. Half of it was finished and was being used as the Rec/Family room. Now there is no carpeting and the baseboards are gone. We were devastated on Sunday but have calmed down a bit since then. Thanks to our awesome friends; Jerry, Allison, and Travis; and Anne's parents Jeff and Joan, we were able to save pretty much everything by hauling it out to the garage. We have pretty great friends and an incredible family. It's hard, but we are trying to focus on those blessings instead of the disaster that is our basement. God Bless our family and friends.

I saw this video and I thought, "Wow, I feel like I have hardships." It is so awesome that God has put people like this in the world to help us keep things in perspective. To give us hope.

Loss...

I was just reading updates for a young man who, along with his family is experiencing a tragedy that all parents fear. This young man has battled hard for his life, to again and again be faced with the seemingly inevitable facts. I wonder how he or his family could find the strength to get through this? God is an amazing leaning post. If you are reading this, please take a minute and pray for Zach Peterson, and for his family, also say a prayer for all in this world who's hearts have been broken by loss. In our earthly lives it is so hard to realize the splendor of what awaits us in the after-life, greif is for those of us left behind. God Bless.

Then Josh and I went to Ford Field to watch the state championship games from his high school Montague as well as Holland Christian who both won!!! I will post some pictures when Josh can help me!!!

OOPS!

Well I am feeling better about 95%! But... I gave me cold to Josh so he was sick and it still not feeling the best.
The weather has been crazy some days I need a winter coat other days I need a light jacket. I guess that is what happens when you live in Michigan.
I took some cute pictures of ESPN in our yard with his Halloween costume on... he does not wear the hat. He is a police man just like Grandpa Stuttman! I will post them very soon!

5 boxes of kleenex later...

Well... since I can not get up I thought that I would just up-date our blog. I am sick I have a Strep throat, Sinus infection and to top it all off a double ear infection. I am not sure how I got all of this but I am ready for it all to go away. Sunday Josh and I were at my parents for church and Sunday dinner like always. I took a nap which I never do and when I woke up my throat hurt. Josh and I headed home and then I started with a runny nose by three in the morning on Monday I called work because I was running a fever of 102.7 so I stayed home. I called the Doctor office and the nurse told me to wait until Tuesday and if I was still not feeling well to call back. So Tuesday I was still not feeling well so Josh took me to the Doctor and then I found out that I was very sick. Since then I have been in bed or in the living room. Josh and ESPN have been taking care of me. I am so blessed to have such a great husband. He has gone to the store 4 times just to get little things that I think sound good or might make me feel better. Today he has been doing all the house work washing window's vacuuming cleaning the floors and laundry etc... I sure love him!!!
Well now that I have gone on and on about nothing, I hope that everyone has a great weekend!

Fall!!!

Fall is here! I have put out all the fall decorations, and love the smell of my Yankee Candel's buring all the Autumn sents. The leaves are all starting to change color. The street we live on is beautiful when all the colors change I will be sure to post a picture when this happens.
Nothing to new in our lives at this point. Josh has been working lots of overtime.

I was very blessed this past week to visit with a friend from Trintiy Liz Fox and her two beautiful daughters Haley Grace and Lydia Hope! They were in Holland for a few days so I had the chance to visit with them one night after work. It was so good to see her and her family. Pictures to come soon!

After that is was time to go to the Hovings! We had a little problem getting there because lots of the highway's were closed due to all the rain. We stayed with them on Saturday night and we went with them to Church. Ruthie and I made Sunday dinner for Tim and Josh. After good byes it was time for Josh to experience IKEA!!!! Then we started our 9 hour drive home which should have only been 3 hours. RAIN RAIN RAIN equals 94 closed. All in all it was a great trip and I loved being able to spend time with Josh!

I work all night!!!

Now the playlist widget thing says it's broken, so till I get more time to tinker, no music.

1:38 A.M.

I'm still awake at this late hour trying to figure out all the crazy things that you can put on your blog. Blog... where in the world do they come up with these things? I do know one thing. Looking through all the pictures we have saved on the computer gets the memories going. First Christmas, first pet, the wedding. I can't believe all the blessings in my life that I seem to overlook each day. Annie is fast asleep in the other room, I should be there too and would be if it weren't for the fact that when I start working on something I can't seem to put it down till it's finished. Well, the music player is up and working (hope you like some of the songs) so I can drift off into peaceful sleep next to my wife.

Till next time...
