First Spring Swim!

Well he did it! Josh jumped in 38 degree water on Saturday morning at 10:00 am, with the little snow flakes falling. It was an exciting day and I am proud to say that Josh raised $400.00 to give to Kyle to help with the remodeling of his house so that he can get around a lot easier. Here are a few pictures from the day. I will post more, I used my parents camera to take a lot so once I get them up-loaded I will put them up. Everyone was inside before trying to keep warm before jumping in. This is a picture from the upper deck at camp Geneva before we walked down.

The grand total that we heard was around $11,400.00!!!!

TOP 5!

It has been a little while since I have posted anything. So I will do the top 5 things that have happened for us.

# 1 We got a new car. We sold Josh's truck (YEAH) and got something that was more particular for a family to be. No we are not pregnant we are just getting ready for that some day. We have been looking for a while and on Monday we were just "looking" and then we took a Chrysler Pacifica for a test drive and really liked it and a few hours later we drove it home! Very scary for me I have never bought a car before. So Josh is driving the bravda and I get the privilege of driving the new car.

# 2 The carpet is on it's way. The basement flooded back in December and we will finally be getting our house back to normal. We have to paint the basement walls and then after the carpet goes it put up bead board/wainscotting. We will both be very happy to not have to go 3 places looking for things anymore. The guest room will no longer be a huge closet and the office will not have crock pots and lamps in it, and the garage will be a 2 1/2 stall again and Josh can start parking in it once we take all the stuff out and put it back down stairs.

# 3 I was very crafty the other day with my friend Katie. We made pillows for our living room and her bedroom. I have been looking for a long time to find some pillows that I liked and could never find something fun with the right colors... so Katie and I made some. It was a great craft day, that lasted from 10am-6pm. We had fun we went shopping at target then went and got supplies had lunch and then went back to her house for a wonderful afternoon. Thanks Katie!

# 4 Josh and I are going to see Kate Gosselin from John and Kate plus eight on TLC, on May 13th she is coming to Muskegon. I am so excited!!!! I will be able to meet her as well as get copy of her new book. What a great husband I have ;)

#5 I got a new sink and faucet in my kitchen!!!! My Dad and I (yes me) put it in last weekend it looks great. I fee like I have a new kitchen Whooo!

Well I guess that about sums up what has been going on in our lives. For the weekend ahead. Josh and my Dad are going to a men's retreat this weekend at camp Geneva with our church so Mom, ESPN and I will be at there house for a girls(plus ESPN) weekend. Then Saturday night Josh and I are going out with our friends the Siegers for dinner. Very excited to spend time with them and there very cute kids Ava and Clayton.
