Well Josh and I made the commitment to each other to start weight watchers. I have done this in the past, I know that is works and it is easy. I taught Josh all about the points and then off to Meijer's we went. About 3 hours later we were done and are cart was over flowing. We were very excited to start and see what was going to happen. Instead of joining we just weight in to each other it saved us a lot of money... I never thought I would tell him how much I weight...but I did!
Today marks one week. Things are going great, Josh and I both love it. We even went out for dinner last night and ordered what we wanted because it was with in the points. I am happy to say that I lost 4.5 lbs and Josh lost 6 lbs!
Well wish us luck we are doing this to get healthy and try and start a new way of thinking when it comes to food... something we both like a lot!

Oh the wonder of home ownership!
If you don't already know, our basement flooded this past weekend. Half of it was finished and was being used as the Rec/Family room. Now there is no carpeting and the baseboards are gone. We were devastated on Sunday but have calmed down a bit since then. Thanks to our awesome friends; Jerry, Allison, and Travis; and Anne's parents Jeff and Joan, we were able to save pretty much everything by hauling it out to the garage. We have pretty great friends and an incredible family. It's hard, but we are trying to focus on those blessings instead of the disaster that is our basement. God Bless our family and friends.

I saw this video and I thought, "Wow, I feel like I have hardships." It is so awesome that God has put people like this in the world to help us keep things in perspective. To give us hope.

Loss...
I was just reading updates for a young man who, along with his family is experiencing a tragedy that all parents fear. This young man has battled hard for his life, to again and again be faced with the seemingly inevitable facts. I wonder how he or his family could find the strength to get through this? God is an amazing leaning post. If you are reading this, please take a minute and pray for Zach Peterson, and for his family, also say a prayer for all in this world who's hearts have been broken by loss. In our earthly lives it is so hard to realize the splendor of what awaits us in the after-life, greif is for those of us left behind. God Bless.

Then Josh and I went to Ford Field to watch the state championship games from his high school Montague as well as Holland Christian who both won!!! I will post some pictures when Josh can help me!!!
